Tiger 3 is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. It stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi. The sequel to Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), it is the fifth installment in the YRF Spy Universe, and is set after the events of War (2019) and Pathaan (2023). In the film, Tiger and Zoya are forced to go on a life-threatening crusade to clear their names after being framed as traitors.
Principal photography began in March 2021 with filming taking place in Delhi, Mumbai, Istanbul, Saint Petersburg and Vienna. The film's soundtrack is composed by Pritam while the background score is composed by Tanuj Tiku. With at an estimated budget of ₹300 crore, it is one of the most expensive Indian films and the most expensive film produced by Yash Raj Films.[3][6]
Tiger 3 was released on 12 November 2023 in standard, IMAX, 4DX, and other premium formats, coinciding with Diwali. It received mixed reviews from critics, with praise for its action sequences, music, and cast performances (particularly Kaif and Hashmi), but criticism for its plot and pace.[1] The film has grossed ₹466.33 crore (US$58 million) worldwide, becoming the fifth highest-grossing Hindi film of 2023, the seventh highest-grossing Indian film of 2023, and the 23rd highest-grossing Indian film.[7]
